The BIGGEST change I’ve made in my skincare routine since getting back from Seoul? Skipping moisturizer in my AM routine since my sunscreen already provides enough hydration for combination and acne prone skin.
Before, I was prioritizing heavy creams that tended to sit on top of my skin (and causing acne, congestion, and patchy makeup) instead of actually hydrating my skin with milky toners that can go into the deeper layers of the skin. I find that I am experiencing less breakouts, clogged pores, and pilling – my base looks AMAZING now (though I’ve also updated my base routine post Korea – let me know if you want to see an updated routine!) Of course this may not work for you if you have super dry skin.
But if you find that you have clogged pores or your makeup pills no matter what you do, try skipping your daytime moisturizer for a few days and see how your skin likes it 👀

Do you use moisturizer & sunscreen during the daytime? Or is it SPF only?
